Veterinary Specialty Hospital is a 24-hour facility. Our specialists are here Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm. Our emergency doctors are here all other hours of the day, night, holidays and weekends. You are welcome to call with questions and concerns or to check on your pet any hour of the day or night.

Visiting your pet.

Just as with people, our patients appreciate visits from people they know and love.

It is our goal to provide the best veterinary care possible. In order to help achieve this goal, we have created a visitation policy that balances the emotional as well as medical needs of our patients.  Visitation hours are
9 am – 11 am & 7 pm – 9 pm Monday – Friday and 7 am – 9 am & 7 pm – 9 pm on Weekends.  Visitation during the day or night may be delayed due to the unpredictable nature of patient care and emergency activity.  Visitors should call at least 20 minutes prior to arrival.

Visitation is limited to immediate family. Please inform your doctor(s) of persons other than yourself who may be allowed to visit.  We strive to have nursing staff or veterinarians available to discuss your pet’s condition at the time of visitation.  When this is not possible you can ask that we give you a call after you’ve left.  Visits may be limited to 5 minutes with patients confined to ICU and 20 minutes with patients who can go into an exam room with you.  Limiting visitation time will ensure each patient receives necessary treatments and tests at proper intervals and that they have time to rest and heal.
