Veterinary Care and particularly care of the cancer patient takes a team approach for optimal outcomes. Although oncologists are central in the coordination of care of the cancer patient, at VSH we emphasize a collaborative team approach for holistic care. The expertise of multiple specialists in critical care, anesthesia, radiology, surgery, nutrition, medical and radiation oncology all have a vital role to play. In addition, coordination with the primary care veterinarian prior to, during and after therapy is essential. Our presentations will highlight the importance of these collaborations.
