Board Certified in Internal Medicine
Dr. Lauren Greene received her veterinary degree from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her Small Animal Internal Medicine Residency at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Here, she gained extensive experience performing a variety of procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and laser ablation of ectopic ureters; along with other procedures.
Dr. Greene has a special interest studying the immune system and how it works. This has translated into a particular interest in both autoimmune disease and infectious disease clinical practice.
I decided to specialize in internal medicine when I realized that the diversity of specialties covered in internal medicine (infectious disease, autoimmune disease, gastroenterology, nephrology, pulmonology, etc.) would take a lifetime to to figure out! I wanted to become as much of an expert in this extensive field as I could be, and enjoy the challenge of trying to keep up with the field.
