Dr. Maureen Levesque received her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed a rotating internship at Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center followed by a diagnostic imaging residency at Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. She spent three years in private practice at a specialty hospital in Illinois prior to joining VSH.
Dr. Levesque has a special interest in musculoskeletal imaging, which stems from her initial interest in equine sports medicine.
The most satisfying part of my job is knowing that the imaging that I do provides valuable information that helps clinicians and owners make decisions regarding further diagnostics and treatment of the patient. Also, almost every case that comes into the hospital receives some type of imaging, which allows the radiologist to be involved with a huge variety of cases and to work with specialists in every other department.
