Veterinary Specialty Hospital of the Carolinas Expands Surgical Team

Cary, N.C. –November 3, 2010 –The Veterinary Specialty Hospital of the Carolinas (VSH) recently expanded its surgical team by hiring Dr. Brian Trumpatori, a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.  Dr. Trumpatori will work with VSH's existing team of three surgeons to provide a wide range of surgeries including orthopedic, oncologic, reconstructive, abdominal, thoracic and spinal procedures.  He is based at the Cary location with periodic assignment to the North Raleigh hospital.

No stranger to VSH, Dr. Trumpatori previously worked at VSH as part of the shared residency program between VSH and the North Carolina State University (NCSU) College of Veterinary Medicine, where he also received his veterinary degree.  Dr. Trumpatori completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Colorado State's College of Veterinary Medicine before his residency and post-doctoral fellowship in surgery at the Comparative Pain Research Laboratory at NCSU after his residency.

“We are extremely pleased to welcome Dr. Trumpatori back to our surgical team,” said Veterinary Specialty Hospital co-founder, Dr. Kevin Concannon. “His expertise and the experience he gained during his post-doctoral fellowship will greatly enhance our surgical abilities and benefit our patients.”
