“The Trauma Patient: Surgery and Beyond”

Managing the trauma patient is often a balance between immediate stabilization and assessment of wounds and injuries that will require ongoing diagnostics and care.  Whether the patient has been involved in a vehicular accident or dog attack, the care is often a multi-step approach involving many facets of veterinary medicine from the initial triage and diagnostics to long term management of large defects or wounds. Please join our specialists in working through a very special trauma case that required a team approach from surgery and anesthesia to critical care and nutrition. We learned a lot along the way and would love to share these valuable lessons that can be applied to management of the trauma patient in general practice.
