Nicole Martin

Oncology Service Coordinator

  • BS in Animal Science from NCSU

Nicole’s career started at the age of 16 when she started as a veterinary assistant/technician in a general practice setting.  Eight years later, she became the hospital manager for that same hospital and remained such for an additional 7 years before moving on to a pharmaceutical sales job with a veterinary product distributor.  Her career at VSH started a year and ½ later as an oncology nurse in which she would spend the next four years expanding her technical knowledge and skills in both medical and radiation oncology.  Nicole decided to make a change in her career path by accepting the oncology service coordinator position when it was first developed in 2014.  Her favorite part of the job is communicating with clients to schedule appointments and help coordinator patient care between departments when needed.   Her primary focus is client experience and quality patient care.  Nicole is the proud mom of three boys, five furry family members and a flock of chickens.  When not at VSH, Nicole and her husband enjoy watching their boys play soccer and family camping trips.
